Vbeam® Laser
Many of us have redness of some type on our skin due to genetic factors, sun damage, injury, or skin conditions such as rosacea. In most cases, the only means of reducing such redness is through laser treatment. The Vbeam® laser is a state-of-the-art treatment that specifically targets redness only, leaving the rest of the skin undisturbed.

What is the Vbeam laser?
The Vbeam laser energy is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin in red blood cells but not by the surrounding tissues. Heating the blood cells destroys the associated blood vessels and reduces the unwanted redness.
What does the Vbeam laser treat?
The Vbeam laser is safe to use on both the face and body to reduce redness due to sun damage, rosacea, broken blood vessels (telangiectasias), bruises, acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, and port wine stains. Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments correct excess pigmentation in addition to redness for more comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
What can I expect?
There is mild discomfort during treatment, which patients often compare to a mild rubber band snap on the skin. Immediately after treatment, there is typically mild redness and swelling, which lasts anywhere from a few minutes up to a day. Make-up may be applied immediately after treatment, and patients resume their normal activities immediately. Most patients require 2 to 5 treatments, spaced a month apart, for best results.
What is the cost of a Vbeam treatment?
Face: $100 to $250, depending on the size of the area treated.
Other body areas are dependent on size and treatment time.
