Fotona Micropeel

Fotona Micropeel is a superficial and fractionated ablative erbium laser.  It creates pinpoint holes in the treated areas but leaves the adjacent skin untouched, which results in faster healing times.  Generally, after three treatments, patients discover diminished fine lines and wrinkles, and improvement in texture and overall skin tone.  Superficial brown sun spots also respond well to Fotona Micropeel.  Our expert providers can treat the face, neck, and chest with unique and specific settings.

Discomfort and downtime are minimal for this procedure.  Treated areas typically look like a bad sunburn for two to three days, after which some peeling usually occurs.  This is an excellent procedure to schedule on a Friday since the weekend allows two days for recovery.  Fotona Micropeel is performed without medications, making it unnecessary to have a driver.

Many patients at Skin Spectrum combine this treatment with Fotona Smooth Eye, benign removals, and/or Kybella to recover from all procedures at once.  During your consultation, our dermatology specialists will recommend a treatment plan for you.

Fotona Smooth Eye

Fotona Smooth Eye utilizes the application of gentle heat to stimulate collagen production.  This mildly ablative, specialized treatment firms the upper and lower eyelids, and softens fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.  Discomfort is minimal and brief.  Three treatments are necessary to achieve ideal results.

Fotona Liplase

Fotona Liplase also uses the stimulation of collagen production to enhance the size and shape of the lips.  It tightens, smooths, and plumps both the inner and outer lips to naturally create the look of increased volume.

Our providers suggest four consecutive weekly treatments, with a maintenance treatment every three to four months.

Fotona Ablative

Fotona Ablative delivers incredibly noticeable results, but this considerably more aggressive treatment requires substantial downtime.  It is similar to the ActiveFX™ CO2 fractional laser, but there are some differences.  It is generally easier to tolerate this procedure, and healing is typically more rapid.  Our providers will outline the specific differences and assist you in selecting the optimal treatment.

Fotona 4D

Fotona 4D uses higher wavelengths than other lasers to target the deeper layers of skin, creating more significant and lasting results.  Bulk heating stimulates the epidermis to contract and produce more of its own collagen, leading to improved definition and tighter contours.  Fotona 4D treats the following conditions:

  • Jawline rejuvenation
  • Loose neck skin
  • Loss of definition in the chin
  • Laxity on other areas of the body, such as the knees and arms

In some cases, more dramatic results may be seen with a combination of treatments, such as Fotona 4D with KYBELLA®, and our experts will guide you in their selection.

Treatment with Fotona 4D is relatively brief and quite comfortable.  Although most patients report a sensation of heat, the procedure isn’t painful.  If the collagen texturizing step is added, you may have a pink flush to the skin for a few hours.  Fotona 4D does not require any downtime, and you can comfortably return to your usual activities as soon as you would like.

The results of your treatment are not instantaneous; expect them to take several weeks to appear as collagen development occurs, but those results can last for several months or longer with occasional touch‐up treatments.
